Active Birth Yoga
Doula Days These morning workshops focus on preparing pregnant women in a very realistic and practical way for labour and birth. For the purposes of the workshop, I act as a birth doula for each and every participant, working through issues such as how to stay at home, pain relief that would work for them, how they can prepare their partners and show them useful ways to support, individual concerns (eg post-caesarean, diabetes, breech).
Post-natal Doula Days These aim to prepare still-pregnant women for the early hours, days and weeks with their baby. Again, I function as I would when attending a woman as a post-natal doula - supporting women with what to expect generally, with their feeding choices, understanding what their newborn will need and why they need it, as well as a host of practical tips from bathing to sleep to useful recipes, to partners supporting each other.
